Ebay have just been fined 40m Euros for not doing enough to stop fake Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Givenchy products. Maybe this is the sanction they need to crack down properly on all fake traders.
The interesting bit though is that a large part of the case was due to "illicit sales" of genuine products. Some of the perfumes the company's produce are only permitted to be sold through licenced dealers and as such, ebay have been banned from selling 4 brands of perfume. This sets a precedent for other companies (in france at least) to follow suit. Whether other brands will follow suit is to be seen I guess (I can easily imagine consortiums and 35ths falling under similar categories)
