I recently shot pics of this pair of superstars on behalf of a consortium of collectors, all of which are members past or present here (Though it is by no means a closed shop). We came together quickly to secure this pair, literally with minutes to secure them. But the idea was that as genuine supe heads united, we have a greater purchasing power and that the shoes that fascinate us should be in our hands, to restore, document, exhibit and cherish. We will catalogue the shoes we acquire so there are quality images for reference. The adidas-archive.org has pics of this pair but the shoes are a little ropey and the resolution sucks. We all have our grails, but for me this was special. Hope you like..

What you can't easily tell from the pics is that the stripes are woven fabric, like drill cotton. Not felt, leather or suede. They easily fray. There are 9 eyelets on a thinner lace stay than later iterations. The side wall stitch is tied/cut off on the outside of the medial side, not on the inside. The half lining is synthetic. The tongue is foam. The sock liner/ insole is suede. I've no idea how these stayed in such great condition in a boat house!

Probably one of the purest examples in existence, Now we need to 3d map it and make pairs for all members. Kudos my freind!
With God's help I'll conquer this terrible affliction.
