Hi, my name is James, being 47 I feel old but having just brought a pair of IloveNY 35th superstars I feel a bit younger.  I have never really been into the 'sneaker' scene but having brought the wife a few pairs from eBay this month I have seen the light.  I can't see me buying new but the idea of picking up pairs, restoring, customising them seems quite a nice way to spend some free time.  Hence the purchase of the ILoveNY pair (just love the simple design and NY apple).  I have kids, wife and a dog who like the idea that I will be getting them new shoes (apart from the dog!).   I look forward to reading your posts, I will no doubt ask questions....

Yay, I'm not the oldest any longer at 46yrs  6months (I'm assuming that I was the oldest).
Welcome.  From the USA or.....?
A great choice for your first Supe.  Was that the pair on the USA ebay with orange laces that started at a super low price? I was watching, but decided that I didn't need a second pair of 35th NYC.
