Hello,
with my 4 eBay purchases so far, I’m kind of an eBay noob. For the first time, I bought something abroad with eBay. I checked if he is a good eBayer but with 330 sells/purchases and 100% positive feedback, I thought he would send me the package like he should.
31 July i`ve bought some supes from eBay. I`ve paid him GBP 18,99 for shipping. (Royal Mail International Signed-for). He shipped the package on the 3th of July.
I mailed the seller if he have a track and trace code for me so I can check where the package is. After 10 days he replied this to me:
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you i've been working away from home for the last three weeks so I've only just seen your two messages, strange how the parcel has turned up yet it should have been with you by now, my girlfriend post out all my ebay items I had finishing on the 31st July 2011.
Could you let me know if you still havn't had the parcel yet and I will chase it up at the post office really sorry for the delay in the trainers getting to you.
Now, 8 days later I still don`t have my package, and not an answer back from him.
So I have a few questions...
Royal Mail International Signed-for, does anyone know how long shipping from UK to the Netherlands takes?
Do you guys know of the complain system from Paypal works? I`ve mailed the guy again but still no answer, so i`m thinking of taking my money back.
Thanks for the help in forward.

If he's sent it International Signed-For then he would have received a reference number (on his Post Office receipt), you can then use this number for some basic tracking with the Dutch post.
So I would start by asking for this number. If he's unable to give you the number then you'll have no problem winning the paypal case as they require all items sent to have a traceable confirmation of delivery.
I say to allow up to 14 days for delivery, but in my experience it normally takes 2-7 days to reach the Netherlands from the UK.

You can start a case in the resolution centre on ebay...you have to explain everything pretty straight forward...they usually find in favour of the buyer....and i would have expected them to arrive within 2 weeks tbh...im in the uk and i've bought from china on ebay and recieved within 10 days..hope this helps Vortec

If its 'signature required', you've no issues since you have not signed for something you did not receive...as indicated already, resolutions usually find in favor of the buyer, esp where you've iron tight info to back you up i.e. his replies, no sign for info etc...no worries, just a delay in your refund and time wasted, but at least you'll likely get your coin back....you need to open up the case soon before time is up...

Next to the item you've bought (right hand side) there's a drop down menu..which will reveal other options like "resolve a problem" click on that and its that easy..Ebay will do the rest
I'd give him 7-14 days for it to be delivered personally as it does vary but like the others have said if its been sent signed for it will have a tracking number as such although not fully trackable so get that 13 digit number..
If he doesn't bother replying hit the resolve a problem button
you have upto 90 days to make a claim via paypal btw..But you shouldn't need to go down that route anyways as the resolve a problem button is done via ebay/paypal and they sort it alot quicker than the old method of making a claim via paypal
It's not the size of the feet!!it's the amount of quality on em

Hi,
I'm going to have to fill out a claims form for the loss of the trainers as they should have been delivered by now and they ain't which again I am really sorry about, I'll being filling the form in tomorrow to claim the refund which could take up to 90 days to get the money back, really am sorry again for the mess around if the trainers do turn up as they did say at the post office the service they went on it could take up to three to four weeks to arrive.
Kind regards
...
Is this a trick to delay the paypal claim?
And is there a shipping service in the UK which take so long to send a package from the UK to the Netherlands?
[edit:00:03]
This is what he posted at the paypal claim:

Have e-mailed back did say it was posted on the wrong service by mistake not on purpose reason did'nt e-mail back after this is I do work away from home so I dont have full access to a computer I am sorry for that, I now need to make a claim through Royal Mail for them losing the trainers, but if the trainers do turn up I would like to know they have turned up as the post office said with the service they went on it could be three to four weeks which again I am sorry they went on the wrong service it was a mistake by my girlfriend who posted the trainers out for me as I was working away.
If you want you refund could you let me know ASAP.
