Advice from some Euro's (pukka the travel agent?)
#1

so i just booked my ticket to Greece and fully payed for it today!! so excited.

going to be in Europe from June 26th till October 1st! nice big holiday for myself.

Was wondering if i could get some advice on places to go/things to do/ that you guys have experienced or what not...

Plan at the moment is to Arrive in Athens, spend about a month in Greece then fly to Barcelona, and work all the way back through yet-to-be-determined countries for my flight home from Athens. Any must-do's along the way?! festivals/major events etc....

thanks for the help!!

It would be easier if you could mention the countries you will be visiting.

Think it's pretty open ended, hence the request for advice.

Come to Scotland! Buckfast, stabbings, shite fitba, we have it all! And God knows there's plenty of your countrymen/women here already.

It was fuckin' obvious that that cunt was gonnae fuck some cunt.

On your way to Scotland, visit me in Holland. We can meet and visit one of our great coffeeshops Laughing

All depends on your budget and interests mate, and also when/if you'll come back, if you have 2 months after Athens and want to cram as much as you can in, I'd just go for some of the major cities - Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin (Herzo maybe), Amsterdam, Ibiza (if you want a party week), Paris, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Milan, Rome, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki to name but a few Wink

Festivals are normally sold out ridiculously quick/early, but you might get lucky.

If you have £5 and Chuck Norris has £5, Chuck Norris has more money than you.

well id rather spend a bit more time and do less countries (but more within them) than just trying to do everything at once. My main places i want to hit are Spain for at least two weeks (after Greece) and probably Germany/amsterdam/italy... i may not make it up to the UK and Paris might save that for another time. But yeh, im open to suggestions, recommendations, personal experiences etc. Very Open minded at this stage Smile

Went Berlin a few years ago t'is a quality city, specially in the summer, shill out in the city bars, quite a good night life as well, and loads of war history and stuff, and Nurnberg is the nearest major city to Herzo if you want to go check out the home of adidas.
Amsterdam is pretty sweet to for the obvious coffee shop reasons as well as some more cultural shizzle - van gogh, ann frank, heinieken factory.
Barcelona's got camp nou and Italy has got plenty of things to see.

If you're going to Spain, Madrid is a very cool city.

When visiting Holland, the festival 'Lowlands' (end of August) is definately worth a visit. It sells out really quick but you can allways try and buy some tickets on our local marketplace.
Amsterdam is nice if you have never visited it before. Nice shopping, coffeeshops, red light district Wink
