I double up in certain shoes... ain't bad at all, other than that it causes one to go through socks twice as fast.

**football related** sorry
West Ham provisionally winning the bid for the Olympic stadium
Which means Spurs are staying put (for now against are chairmans plans) were they rightly belong N17 North London \o/

Fucking disgrace. It should be a national athletics stadium. We paid for the thing, why should a load of overpaid pansies get to keep it to themselves?

It will be streak under West Hams plans..They are keeping the running track but obviously you can't have a stadium that cost that much money sitting there empty except for afew athletic meets per yr..You've also gotta think apart from the olympics/championships do 60,000 go to these meets??
Be even more of a waste to leave it empty after paying so much to build it and the infra-structure etc etc etc
It's gonna be a white elephant imo and football with a running track around the pitch doesn't work!!Kills the atmosphere as the fans are not close enough to the action.
I'm glad West Ham got it,Its in east london there manor and although its only 5miles from were Spurs play its still east london not N17 even if we do need a new much bigger stadium desperately.
If you've ever been to Tottenham pretty much the only thing going for it is having a football club its massively rundown area with very bad transport links but as long as the clubs there then it brings revenue/business to the area would be a much worse place if we moved (which are chairman seems intent on doing regardless of what the fans want)
Spurs plan was to rebuild a national athletics stadium at crystal palace holding 20,000 which would of been more practical for uk athletics i think but anyways glad it seems are bid as been unsuccessful.

Football stadiums with athletics tracks definitely don't work. Are West Ham fans happy about going there? I wouldn't be.
It was fuckin' obvious that that cunt was gonnae fuck some cunt.

They should have thought about what they were going to do with all these fancy new buildings before even bidding, I'd much rather they had spent the money fixing all the bloody pot holes than hosting the Olympics, isn't it going to cost far more than what it will bring in??
Spuds would never have gotten the stadium with their plans, there would have been uproar from the public, spend all that money building the thing just to have it bulldozed after the games have finished? Madness

It's worked elsewhere with stands that are removable and come right to the edge of the pitch space.

It's just approaching 8:00am here in the uk and the motherfuckin weekend starts right here for me and doesn't end until Weds night next week. Only fly in the ointment is it's Valentines day on Monday but I'm not gonna let that spoil things
