This was a Top Secret shoe thread, but now it's a tale of greed and desperation.

Not a Dick move at all...

I have purchased them. They are resting upon my throne (lazy boy recliner) for all to see. I did do my homework before purchasing these bad boys. Unfortunately, with a name like "Top Secret" what would you expect to find. I probably spent 40 hours researching these shoes, including consulting an adidas representative well versed in these issues. It was not until I stumbled across a blog where they had talked about Fake adidas #35, that any doubt arose in my mind. Hence, I am back on the grind...

And no, they weren't the size 12 on ebay. I would never buy a pair of shoes that I could not wear... They are size 10.5 US. One of the most sought after sizes.

I paid $2000 US for them. A steal I'd say, but still a lot for a pair of shoes. I would never sell them anyway. If I do make it to a nice ripe old age they should be worth 10 times what I paid.

I'm thinking I should be buried in a white tux sporting them for all eternity... LOL

Don't fret over fake or not..you could go on forever beating yourself up,having doubt's etc..just show 'em off and enjoy..if nothing is clearly fake then stop looking and relax...still alot of dosh tho'Laughing

Oh yea, here's another thing. Fron what I understand, the shoes are numbered by the combination on the two lock sets on the front of the box. Strange... No markings I can find other than that.

You would figure this is a bad way to number these shoes because the instruction booklet for the locks includes the information needed to reset the combo on the locks. So... Assuming that the locks were never reset, my pair would be #202...

There should've been a tag attached to the handle.
If you leave 'em in the box until you're old and grey, when someone takes 'em out to put on your feet, they'll disintegrate !
A lot of shoes from 20 years ago are fucked now.

Out of interest what are the "production" numbers for the 35th Secrets?

i.e. - how many created for each size?

No idea on sizes but I think there were 250 pairs.

Hey flyingcod,

300 pair of the #35 were made. From what I understand, 256 were given to celebrities and 44 were raffled off in major cities throughout the world... Supposedly they were custom to each person that one a pair or received them as a gift, but I cannot find much literature about this...
I should hope they don't disintegrate, and no, these will never be sold... never... ever...

Thought there were 5 parties round the world on the date they gave them out and there were 5 pairs given out per party.

Could be. Most of the information you can dredge up on the net if pure speculation and not based on fact. I would like to talk to someone who attended one of these parties. Or someone who has first hand knowledge of the planning that went into this release.
