The 'wedding' photos mostly consist of graffiti photos from The Bronx and Queens. We fooked off to NYC to tie the knot. Spent most of my 'honeymoon' riding subway trains, jumping fences and climbing onto roofs! With the wife!

Sounds great! My fiance wants to have something fancy and I'm just worried about how much it cost to have one party....
I'm afraid 10k€ might not be enough and to be honest I don't have that kind of many anywhere waiting to get spent.
It's not that I don't want to throw a party to her and my friends, but damn! Does it have to cost that much? I would much rather do something like you did Shellshock!

That's the reason me and my lady are still not married eight years and two kids after getting engaged. The amount of money some people spend on one day for a wedding is utterly mental.
Your way sounds like a proper good idea Shellshock - was is straightforward to organise the legal wedding stuff in the USA?

I don't understand spending stupid amounts of money on one day either, if the other half would have agreed I'd have got married in Vegas when we were there, I don't think my parents would ever forgive me though

Getting married myself in a few months, spent pretty minimal on it compared to the average cost, blitzed the rest on a kick ass stag/hen & honeymoon.

Yes mate, we got married in Manhattan City Hall. Rocked up on the Monday to let 'em know, came back on the Tuesday and did it. It wasn't the most romantic setting but we were in and out within half an hour. Quicker, less painful and cheaper than a trip to the dentist.

Awesome, man. Plus, the weather's been great here in NY so you must have had a blast. Throw up some pics when you get some time.

Was watching the auction for those Adidas Superstar 35th Anniversary Top Secrets. Crazy what people would pay for a pair of unwearable shoes and still not reaching the reserve. But yeah ... then I remembered those McFly boots which are unwearable too. Crazy world.
