Hi all, i'm DRP and i'm from Antwerp, Belgium. I got addicted to adidas Superstars because of Run DMC. I own 4 pairs of Superstar II's. They're all classic white with black stripes.(2 pair are totally trashed, one pair even has holes in them). And i own 1 pair of Blue superstar's with white stripes and fat laces.

I'm currently looking for 35th anniversary Run DMC Superstars. But i came to realise that they are extremely expensive and really hard to get. Plus the fact that there are alot of fake ones.

And a quick question. Run DMC wears superstars without laces, but it's impossible to wear 'em like that. So i just wear 'em with laces. But i heard of elastics in some superstars. Where can i get these? And is it possible to put/make your own elastics in your superstars?

And this forum is really neat. I really like all the different instructions to wear laces.

I'm 15 years old. I don't have a job yet. I go to high school. And my hobbies are DJ and guitar. I listen to all sorts of music. But i'm currently into the original Run DMC songs. I love oldskool rap, and i love oldskool superstars.
And of course, i love to bug my parents with my obsession of superstar sneakers. ;P

Are there any other superstars that come with elasticated tongues?Or is there a way to rock your superstars with no laces without having to walk like a penguin?

Welcome to the forum DRP nice intro you gave yaself there and like many of us we got are superstar passion due to run dmc.
The only 1s i know about with elasticated tongue is indeed the 35th anniversary run dmc but i'm sure its possible to stitch in some elastic and customise a pair yourself!!
Give it a go with them holey wht/blk beaters u own!! and let us know how u get on and show us the results.

Welcome to the show dude. Make sure you test you sewing skills on a bust pair. Don't wanna risk screwing up a decent pair of kicks.

Didn't Run DMC used to just get a snug pair and shuffle a lot? I didn't think the OGs they wore had elastics!

Welcome!! I reckon it would be fairly easy to stitch some elastic in, or maybe some inner tube as the wouldn't spring about so much?

I've been after the Run DMCs since release too. No luck
