Probably not but looking at Superstar FTR, Pro Model FTR and Boston Super FTR only the first two have similarities. Only thing I can see is that dark leather in the back of the BS looks similar.
Did a quick image search and found Forum Lo FTR's and they also looks like SS and PM. Mainly black on black but with contrast stitching.
Maybe in BS it stands for the color way?

Hmmm I've seen BS's in other colorways such as "Loam/Black/Fango" that still say FTR. I'm leaning heavily on it being the type of leather, but the types of leather I know of are like full-grain, top-grain, etc.
Words like full-grain and tumbled come to mind... but tumbled doesn't explain these at all... :/

So rethinking this... maybe it's not an acronym after all. If CLR means "clear", CRK means "cracked", and WD means "wide", then maybe FTR is also a single word with the vowels removed...
"Feature"? But that would normally be like "feat."...

If I remember correctly the FTRs were boasting to be made out of Italian leather, so maybe FTR is short for some specific type of leather? The leather on the FTRs is proper solid, sort of like heavy fino leather. The FTRs even feel heavier than regular leather supes.
