Yes i know its well overdue
I need a new digital camera but camera's is one of them things i aint got a clue about!!!
I don't wanna pay top dollar for one but one thats good enough to take nice clear pics and got a good zoom.I've been looking at sony cybershots that all seem pretty small which is what i'm after really not a big bulky thing.
Any suggestions welcome (thanks inadvance)

I just got a Fuji Finepix Z last month and im happy with it. It was a toss up between that and the Sony but the reviews tipped in favour to the Fuji. Depends also what your budget is, good luck with your quest!

Don't really wanna pay more than £200 preferably under £150 really!!nothing flash just summat that can handle details and close ups and basically take nice clear pics of my superstars.
I use a fuji finepix f601 at the mo but its 3+ yrs old and really outdated

I paid £170 for a bundle including a leather case, 2Gb card and camera which wasnt that bad but i think the prices have come down again cos of the panic with the Credit crunch/Recession.
Shop about mate im sure you can get yourself a bargain! Tis a good time to buy stuff!

I bought a 7.2MP Sony Cybershot at the beginning of the year and I've got no complaints. It ticked my boxes, which seem to be close to yours... small, alright zoom, inexpensive, easy to use. Takes reasonably decent photos when you need it too (although it'll never be a great camera, but it does the job). I'd recommend them (just not the very base model one with the AA batteries etc...)

I've got a Sony DSC-T100 with 8.1 mega pixels and it is a cracking camera, it cost about £200 but that was last year so you'll probably get it cheaper than that now. It's got some great features including face recognition and a huge screen on the back to view your pics.
Just don't get blinded by the mega pixel war, anymore than 8 mega pixels is only worth it if your wanting your pics blown up to a massive size.
I've also got a Sony Ericssion K850i phone and that has a brilliant 5 mega pixel camera on it and like Streak it is always with me.

Cheers adi ill ave a look @ that model as well thanks.
I got sony ericsson p990i which has a camera on it but i've never got to grips with the fone since the day i bought it (complicated as hell) so using my fone isn't really an option.Although replacing my fone maybe cheaper than buying a new camera

Bump*...Any advice greatly appreciated (looks @ steve-o)
I know fook all about camera's but the one i've got now struggles with close ups/details..Mainly use my camera for ebay taking pics of items and also taking pics of my superstars and the odd pic of the dog so dont need anything super flashy

Don't confuse me with other models ffs
Surely 12.1 pixels thingy bobbies is enough and will be able to cope with close up shots/detail

Got to agree with Cracky, mostly.
I bought the DMC ZX1 and it fucking rocks.
Great HD video if needed, a shitload of preset image modes and off to first shot in 1.2 seconds !
A pukka camera for sure.
