Thanks for the warm welcome. Superstar DB is already rubbing off on me as I was able to track down a pair of the JAM's and purchased them this morning. I've also got a refund from Adidas coming so I'll be purchasing yet another pair next week.

I've got my eyes on a pair of the pink laced Brooklyn adicolor...what do you guys think of that shoe?

Welcome to the boards! Nice intro, and I'm from California so don't worry your not the only person from the US, there are quite a few others. And good luck with the collection, I wear size 12 so I'm not too far off.

Def go for the Brooklyns if you have the chance. I got these and they are nice. Drop some fat black laces in to make them look even better.

Thanks for the suggestion, it's hard to tell from pictures on websites how pink they are. Is there a lot of pink other than in the laces? That's kind of my attraction to them, just something a little different.

Also...is the adicolor denim BL5 a rare shoe? I'm taking up this Superstar hobby with the intention of having some nice "collector shoes" that I can wear around every now and again. The BL5's would go great with jeans so they'd be a real practical pick-up in starting a collection if they're hard to find as well.

Good, if you check out my collection thread, you can see what the Brooklyns look like. They are patent leather, with only a little pink on them. As I say, the black laces tone them down a touch.

As for the BL5s, these were a standard release for the Adicolor series, as were all the 5s. Most shoe stores had them in abundance. However, these were a 2006 release, so you'll probably find it hard to get them now. If you check the bottom of the box on any of the Adicolor series, it tells you how many of each pair where made.
