Well I usually don't need any encouragement to bore people silly about boomboxes, but seeing as four of you have asked, here goes...
First the headliner & the reason I got into the boombox thing. The JVC RC-M90 (on the right):

I wanted one because it's on the cover of LL Cool J's classic old skool hip hop album "Radio", & then discovered it's the most sought-after boombox of the lot. Decent ones routinely fetch up to US$2000 on eBay.
On the left is it's spiritual successor the JVC Kaboom. These are still on sale & it's the loudest boombox on sale today by a wide margin. Truly amazing bass for a portable.
Then I restored my old Hitachi Super Woofer... back in the day & it went everywhere with me:
These Hitachis are much cheaper, so I decided to try & collect them all. I'm not doing too bad as it goes:

...Sooper, can you see your SuperWoofer here at all?
I also decided to get all the boomboxes I've ever owned. I had some Philips ones in the 80s, 'cos they were cheaper most (terminally skint, me):

Finally, I've got a soft spot for mini boomers - quality ones crammed with toys, like these:

This Sony cost a fortune back then.
I make sure they all keep working & currently have at least 8 in use around the house. I like my music...

"my strategy has to be tragedy, catastrophe
& after this you’ll call me your majesty,
My melody..."
