Depends where you go but some doner's made from pretty good quality meat.
Interesting to hear about the different kebabage round the world and regionally in the UK.
Never eat the lamb shish as it always seems too chewy.
Even though the chicken is that spongey, protein tumbled shit, it's normally the one for me and I might top it off with a pounds worth of doner on top if it's good and crispy.
All the salad, lots of chilli.
No garlic, no mayo, wish they had tabouli !

Over here a lot of it is made with good quality meat.
One of the main cooking shows went to one of the plants where they make those huge sticks of meat and they were grinding up end of neck, back and all kinds of reasonable cuts of meat.
Then they flattened out the lamb patties and built a tower which was compressed and shaped.
The presenter of the show even ate some of the meat uncooked and commented on the quality of it.

lol man I was up half the night with indigestion from that bastard... wont be dancing with that devil again for a while!
while still on the subject, when I lived up in Sydney (Merrylands to be exact) I use to eat kebabs at a mates brothers store like a ritual, they use to make it all inhouse with cuts of chicken and cuts of meat and man it was good!
they also made some freakin' sweeeeet turkish pide, oh man, so good haha
