If you're missus was upset that you found this forum, she's gonna be plenty pissed in about 6 months time I recon, when you have spent all your hard-earned on kicks!
The trick is to buy her a pair every now and then. Makes her feel involved too and takes the attention off the fact that you have so many pairs yourself.
