HOLD ON ONE MINUTE>>>
Please please DO NOT think that I am a Nascar fan...
I am not one of those bumblefuck inbred redneck a$$holes. There is nothing worse than the "Left Turn" circuit. I had to host one of my customers last year at a Nascar race in Fontana, Fedex has a car and a suite. It was the worst day in my life. NEVER AGAIN.
F-1 is a respectable sport, I was simply making the observation that no one here in the states cares about it. I have a customer that is a French company and the Exec's talk F-1 all the time.
Soccer, however... I don't care for. And I've been to the MLS championship game before and have witnessed soccer in all it's boring ass glory. It's still not a sport. It's a riot.
My favortie sports... College Football (Fight on!) & Ice Hockey.

come on, farmer, a real hockey fan never calls it ice hockey!
soccer is a hard one to understand from the North American perspective, but I got into it from being in England during Euro '96. When the entire city of London seemed to be chanting David Seaman's name during the penalties v Spain (memory correct here?) it was pretty amazing.
We've got a MLS team here now and it's absolute pandemonium. Definitely better atmosphere and more fun than the Leafs, Raptors or Blue Jays. And tickets are ridiculous. Paid $500 last year for our 2 seasons tickets.

My god! I never knew... I think I might change jobs and become a professional driver, my car has throttle, brake, H-pattern gearing and I have to use the clutch!! Plus, add in the fact I too have no traction control and a standard ECU, shit I must be good, I don't even have someone talking to me through an earpiece telling me which way to turn on the oval track (plus I have to control my huge stereo at the same time!)
But seriously, I can see that Nascar takes a lot of skill, but it is completely different to the skill that an F1 driver has, and personally I'd take corners over ovals any day (in saying that I have been known to watch the occasional Nascar race if it's on)
