I'm sorry if this is a thread that has already been bought into existance, but i am stuck at work with nothing to do...

SO here is a Holiday/travel thread...

I love to travel and see the world, and like to chat about that kinda thing.
Anyone here enjoy traveling and seeing the world? Has anyone got any holidays planned? What places have you visited? What was the best Holiday you went on?
Iv'e been to a few places in Europe, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Belgium and Spain...

Barcelona, Tallinn or Prague were the best cities I've been to. Berlin i think would have been good, but i didnt spend too long there... about 24 hours i think...

i would love to travel more. i have been to france, portugal, amsterdam, cyprus, italy, singapore,switzerland and bali. all vey nice in there own way, i found paris the most dirtiest. mind you i was out there doing grafitti myself. i would love to go to the states shopping. this will happen soon im sure.

I've lived in Vancouver, Toronto, London (Kensington/Islington/Stoke Newington) and Montreal and driven across Canada from Vancouver to Toronto.

I've visited: NYC, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Washington, Seattle, Portland, Ann Arbor, Scottsdale and Boston in the US.

In Europe I've been to Paris, Le Mans (to watch the Bentley victory), Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Athens, Rome, Florence

In the UK I've been to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, Warrington, Bath and all manner of small towns and villages that I can't remember - well, I can't forget John O'Groats. Or setting up camp late one night in a farmer's field on the side of the motorway and waking up in the morning to find we'd camped directly across from Stonehenge.

Wow where have i been!!ermm to many places to say luckily for me my 1st job after leaving college was on a cruise ship so i got to see alot of the world for free.
but ive been ere and alot more
all the uk,scotland,ireland,vegas,la,st petersburg,rome,amsterdam,paris,hannover,barcelona,prague,corfu,reyjevik,oslo,lisbon,hamberg,berlin,egypt,rio de janiero,spittsbergen,monaco,milan,denmark,finland,pretty much all of scandanavia,turkey,spain,portugal etc etc etc.

favourite places ive been are reyjevik in iceland <FAV and amsterdam and ofcourse london the best city in the world <<city boy and luv the buzz cant beat it

<places i wanna go NEWYORK and LOUISAVILLE KENTUCKY to visit the home of the greatest of all time
OH and african safari is a must b4 i die

Oh a hoiday thread..good thinking this..for the last few years been really pushing the boat out on holidays..ok we've been to Maldives,Dubai,Antigua,Cuba,Egypt,France..various weekends away(London,Alnwick,Cheshire,Edinburgh)..Going to Florida this year for a last trip abroad for a while(my son is ten so just the right age for the rollercoasters)..then we're going to stay in uk for a few years.
All the places mentioned above are since I've been married,before I'd been to Prague,California,Austria,Ibiza,Greece..Fav place would have to be a tie between Dubai/Maldives

one of the Canadian airlines is having a wicked good one day seat sale today. The missus and I decided that Halifax, Nova Scotia sounded good (i've never been to the East Coast of Canada).

told the missus to book us.

Westjet has $12 flights sale, I booked a return flight to Ottawa!

Funny thing, when I went to PEI five years ago, we got tired of eating lobsters, so we walked into a local McDonalds, and guess what they had? Lobsters...

I've always wanted to go to America to see NYC, Vegas and all that.

My parents were gonna emigrate to Canada before i was born, but they didnt, so i could have been living in Canada if they'd gone through with it!
I kinda wanted to emigrate to Canada or the states, but i dont think its really do-able for me sadly...

Im gonna be going to Edinburgh in the autumn, so im looking forwards to that, ive never been further north in the UK than oxford!

Ya I know what you mean about wanting to live in a different country. I've been in Canada for 9 years now, first in Vancouver, then Toronto, then finally settled in Ottawa. I don't think it's much of a trade up in terms of weather from England. It sure is sunny here, but it was -35C with windchill yesterday.
I'm looking to do my grad school down in the States or Australia in 2 years.

Yeah, i cant see the weather being much of a trade up in Canada, but im not too bothered about weather really, it wouldnt have too much of a bearing if i was to move. I wanted to live in California when i was younger, i'd imagine the weather being a bit better there...

Off to Sardinia in October with my bf which I'm well excited about! We've never been on holiday together before, so this is long overdue!!!

Only holidays I've really had abroad are rugby tours (best two weeks of my life). Hoping to inter-rail around Europe this summer, visit Sweden & Latvia at the least

Most of my friends arent interested in travel, which is a shame, because they never want to go traveling anywhere, so it leaves me with very few people to travel with!

Im gonna start saving this year to go on a wicked holiday next year, i havent decided where yet, but i think it will be outside of Europe!
