Ok...so here is my story. I was excited to see a decently priced pair of Vaders on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:IT&ih=021)

I noticed that this guy seemed to have several pairs, as you can see other pairs in the background. He seems legit, had multiple positives from people who bought other shoes, in addition to the Star Wars themed ones.

Notice at the bottom it says the buyer gets to choose which ones they want, the "black" or the "white" ones. I made the purchase, and made a note in my Paypal payment to him that I wanted the black Darth Vader shoes. I also sent him an email, and another message through eBay.

No response back. Today he says that they are shipped, and to double-check I asked if he had sent the Darth Vader shoes. He then says to me: "you bid the white version, right?!"

umm...damn...what the hell? So...anyway...I have a pair of Yoda's in the mail from Hong Kong, it seems. Anyone interested or have advice? I realize I can file a dispute on paypal and send them back, but I would take about a $40 hit on shipping. Thanks!

i hate to say it, but i see a paypal dispute in your future.

as a rule I don't buy anything from anywhere east of Germany.

Y'know Wazzz. This may not be what you want to hear but you may end up being more pleased with the Yoda's.

I don't have either.... yet, but most people who have both prefer the Yoda's by far, I believe.

On that note, I almost bid on a pair of shoes the other day that were listed as size 13 but had in the comments that they were my size, 12US. I sent the seller a question asking if they wer e13 or 12, they told me 12 but I still didn't buy them just to avoid the potential problem of getting the wrong size.... I'd be swimming in a 13, i dance between 11.5 and 12 as it is.

I was considering hanging on to them...maybe this is a sign or something. I just don't know if I can drop $400 bones on shoes right now. Good idea on avoiding that auction, I will for sure do the same from here on out!

I am just not sure how these Yoda's will hold up if I do decide to wear them...I am a little concerned with the canvas material. I will see when they arrive!

We're gonna need a shitload of photos when they do turn up as I reckon they're gonna be fake.

I didn't see him on the bad seller list, and his feedback seemed pretty positive to me. The price didn't seem too cheap to me compared to others I've seen. And as far as the 300 worldwide, he could just be trying to generate demand. I'm crossing my fingers! We shall see!

I hope I'm wrong too fella, I really do.
But if not, we'll spot the fakeness and you'll get your money back as well as getting to keep the trainers.
Someone has to get bitten, me and Spite bought all the fake 35th Consortiums at a cost of hundreds of pounds in order to solve the fake problem in 2005 !!!

I will be sure to put up loads of pictures when I get them! If they are fake I will get refunded through Paypal, and I won't have to send them back you mean?

Good point about noticing fakes...It will be worth it to expose another fake seller!

Indeed.
Yeah, you'll have to acquire absolute proof that they are fake which shouldn't be too hard, then Paypal will ask you to send a letter saying they have been destroyed !
Then they'll send you the money.
It takes a while but if we get to the bottom of another fake then it'll be worth it.
Whereabouts are you in the UK ?

I actually live in the US, West Coast. I'm actually more excited about getting these shoes now, it will be cool if they are real...yet fun to bust this guy if they are fake. I hate businesses that cheat.

I actually just got a 8.1 megapixel Sony camera for christmas So that should do the trick. As for patience, I will do whatever it takes.
