As some of you may know I live in New Orleans.Today the NBA all star stuff kicked off!I went to the convention center to the NBA jam session it is a huge hall filled with basketball courts,games,and all kind of Adidas promotions.

The only shoes that they had there was theose UGLEEE gilbert arenas ts whatevers and you could not buy any of them but you could try them on???They also told me that you could order some stuff at a computer.They told me to go to the "champs" store for all the shoes and stuff it is on Canal St..

I then ran over 8-9 blocks to the sheraton hotel.I got to that store and they had jerseys,jackets,hats,etc. galore-but all the Performance triangle s____!I went over to the shoes and met 2 nice sales people and rapped with them about what they had.

They had a wall of all the limited sneeks of the gilbert arenas with sold out on a few models-I saw the equipment robot's,a bunch of colorful gilberts...so then i went to another wall where they had the few originals that they had about 7 of the NBA americana's the boston celtics and the miami heat look tight the lakers too.The superstar 2g or whatever that I did not like either.

Now while I was standing there a group of 3 guys walk up and we are all looking at the shoes.I noticed one looked really familiar but I could not figure out why.I then went and held the East/West pro models which are cool but do not like the hi-tops the colors are really metalic and cool though.Finally I saw the Gabriel U TS limiteds.They are nice and all I just do not dig the sneaker.The same 3 guys then walk up and one of em' says ,"there is your shoe Gabe"I then go bam!I knew you looked familiar and the workers and adidas rep did not realize that it was actually him!He was really cool and friendly he also showed all of us how Adidas spelled his name wrong on the shoe too!!!!!

I asked him to pose for a picture holding the shoe and he did it.He asked about some N'Awlins stuff and we all laughed-He did not seem to happy about the finished shoe and the Adidas rep pointed out that he was wearing New Balance and Gabe gave him a look like,"bitch puh-leez'(a cold stare,a blank stare of..and your point is?)

I talked with the rep awhile he explained to me that they are really happy that the gilbert arenas ts whatever's are taking off and they are pleased with it.ahe also showed me a new line of equipment's that are like the robot one's but they are in crazy colorways and the are foe NBA teams,(i.e. chicago,la,etc.)not that great looking.

The rep asked me if we have any sneaker boutiques here?He said they do hope to move a lot of this stuff this weekend and I was like good luck.I left really bummed no originals except the pro model!?!

Vegas had the stan smith's,soop's for tim duncan,gilbert,etc.croc skin and we get the east,west promodel.Not even the Kevin Garnett Pro model!

So I then went to footlocker,sheesh man SWOOSH mania man the swoosh rep's had taken over the store there was limited AF1's all over the place even a New Orleans Colorway they ranged in price from 90 bucks to 225.oo USD.They had no new soop's but N.O is a swoosh city yah' know.

I will go back tommorow and take pictures of all the shoes for yall to see.I am really bummed that they did not have at least 1 pair of superstars to celebrate the all star game here but oh well Adida spays a lot of money to people who made that call so what do I know.

At least I did get me a pair of Superskates lavander's yesterday.I could not believe I could not find anything to buy!

listen Anybody, how can I get a pair of the consortium's blue/red superskates I really need that shoe sooooo badddd!!!!!

the game is on sunday,slam dunk contest on friday,celebrity all star game is saturday.

Man,lemme tell yah' I think actors,rappers,and other athletes.I was in the convention center and there was a lot of pro ball players.On the regular streets I saw Anderson Cooper,John Starks,charles Barkley,P.Ewing too and some older NBA players just walking around chilling.

I will be there tommorow and it should be more celeb's around.Today Chris Paul from the N.O. hornets will be doing autographs and I am positive they will have bigger names too.

M.Jordan gave 500k to the boys and girls club and SWOOSH people are opening a Nike store in one of the most hard hit area's that was devastated by hurricane Katrina.They are also rebuilding 6 b-ball courts in the city at a cost of 1 million bucks!!!

I am surely hoping Adidas is going to open an originals store here-I doubt it-like I told the Adi-rep yesterday this is a Nike town anyway.I am just really disappointed with adidas.But I may be speaking to soon will update yall later on....

Lebron James is holding a press conf. today to announce what he is going to give and do so I am glad that the NBA is doing so much for my city.


Again,does anybody know where to get the blue and red superskates???

I was told by an adi-rep that because this is New Orleans and not Vegas we did not get all the different kicks because the economy here(give me a break)I think since after the Vegas all- star game so many of the limited originals were on ebay for real cheap maybe that is the reason huh?
Naww I think they are just really pushing those ts lightswitch and the whole performance thing-after all no one in the NBA still wears the originals line I guess...

Yeah I think you're right, the performance line suits the sport better, but it would be cool if some player wore some nice supes.

Those superskates are probably in-store only or maybe ebay if you're lucky.....

Well I went to the all star event last night,whoaaa...I do not know if ya'll saw it but man oh man Dwight Howard is a BEEEEEAST!The dunks were very solid-when he had the superman shirt and cape unbelieveable.

Steve Nash,"Dirt" norwitski,sold me out Jason Kidd and Dwayne Wade too.I was a bit upset Chris Paul did not win but my son and I are big fans of Deron Williams.It was expensive as shit 250usd per ticket and we were not on the floor but it was worth it.When Deron won the drill contest one whole row of seats won PS3's and NBA live and Adidas gift cards!!!

On Saturday the TS Lightswitch went on sale (G.Urist) and a lot of the TS NBA team colorways also(Think the NBA soop's from last year)Swoosh released a new air jordan that was all the rage at 185usd and they also have a dunk that is hot.

For some real odd reason footlocker had some real cool suede shell tops that I have never seen before on here are the net 3 colors a rust color,khaki,and burgundy all with a tan suede stripes,heel,and tag on toungue.

for the kids they had the superstar science all on display and the new oddity colorway for kids in a purple red white,and another in white green and orange.I was buying my son the purple red oddity shelltops when he told me in no uncertain terms that he wanted the soop sciences' (he is 6 years old!)So I bought them the ones with the red snakeskin-about 20 minutes later we bump into Veteran NBA player Dominique Wilkins and he autographed my son's soop's!!

Players sightings in the adidas store yesterday(Sat.)Dirt N,Yao ming(He is really big ya'll and I am 6'6 myself-but yao is one tall asian guy)Steve Nash and Bill walton.We also saw clyde drexler,Gabriel Union,Alyssa Milano,and chris tucker.Lebron James is like Jesus here you can not get near him to take a cam pic people just MOB him ya'll.

I bought a cool originals ABA(old league that merged with the NBA in the 70's-DR.J came from this league) New Orleans Buccaneers tee that is dope.There is also a originals NBA store ya'll but the throwback jerseys cost a fortune but they are dope as hell.

The Boston Celtics stuff is to kill for the retro and peformance line!The Blue Note shit is TIGHT the track top looks good in person it is like a suit jacket great detail.

Man, it sounds like you're having a great time!

The NBA really knows how to put together an all star weekend. It's cool that they're trying to make it more relevant by (last year) taking it to Vegas, where they don't have a team and now New Orleans this year where they can use the game to bring attention to the problems that the city is still suffering through. As well as inject a lot of money into the local economy.

now if adidas could just find away to incorporate some soops into the mix, that would be fantastic. i may not have loved the NBA soops they did a year or so ago, but at least they were trying some new things. and they were much better than this year's Campus'.
