That's one of the differences between UPS and FedEx...
In Canada, UPS will not deliver the package until you give them the money for the D&T and Brokerage fees. FedEx sends you a bill later.
Individuals such as yourself hate it... because you feel like your being held hostage.
Retailers love it... because then 6 months from now they don't get hit back with the bill that their customer refused to pay.
My advice... Pay the bill & next time ask them to mark them as a gift with no value. Or have them shipped to me and I'll ship them up to you for my cost.
....Sorry

Got stung for about thirty pounds customs bill for my yodas I had from moes had to pay to parcelforce before they let me have them bit of a pisser but really wanted the yodas...
Think the thing with moes is they don't mark your sneaks as a gift and put the full price of them on the customs ticket maybe they don't ship to many out of the states as most other places put them down as a gift with a low price.

it is truly random pickings mate. i have been stung on numerous occasions. but what do you do. if i already paid shipping and paid for the shoes. and it comes to £ 100 , i am not going to leave them at post office because of another £20-30. its hard though. most of the better supes or the cheaper clothing comes from the states. i think the most ive had to pay is £75.00 on 3 pairs of supes. start cheap work out very expensive

i just the other day had to pay £31.50 customs fees on 2 pairs, i expected it to happen but it still burns when the deliverymans standing at the door demanding money for her majesty for something ive already paid for.
will alot of places mark items as gifts for you, or is that mostly for special circumstances?
