Finally saw "Planet Terror" the other night. What a great film.
Haven't seen anything that trashy since the original Dawn of the Dead.
It had everything: flesh-eating zombies, explosions, a hot chick with a machine gun for a leg, and a mini-moto used as a getaway bike! You can't ask for more
Also recently bought "Family Guy: Blue Harvest"
BRILLIANT!
Who'd have thought it was possible to condense Star Wars:A New Hope into 45 mins and make it a comedy, and still do it justice. If you are a Family Guy fan you have to see this (make sure you see Family Guy The Movie as well. I had a jaw ache after that I was laughing so much)

I saw I Am Legend a coupla weeks ago and thought it was great - I wasn't really sure what it was about before I went, and I try not to take notice of hype for any movies before I see them as that usually ruins them. My girlfriend wasn't soooo impressed, but she didn't hate it.
The last film I saw was Sweeney Tood - The Demon Barber of Fleete St. I thought it was quite good, Johnny Depp was exellent in his lead role (but I like Depp anyway). If you've seen any Depp-Burton collaborations before, the cinematography will seem very familiar, but that's not a bad thing either as I love the style.
Has anyone seen American Gangster. I'm quite keen to see it, and I've heard that it's quite long (as a lot of biopic type movies are) but it warrants the length with enough story to fill it....

It was the working title for Star Wars;A New Hope.
Also saw I Am Legend. Thought it wasn't a bad movie, but agree with KotF, it was wrapped up a little too quickly. I actually prefer the original (The Omega Man for those of you that didn't know). But then, I love the cheesy classics. Soylent Green as well.!!

No, correct franchise, wrong film. Blue Harvest was "working title" for Return Of The Jedi. Since it had gotten very popular and they were filming out in the desert Mr Lucas didn't want any snoopers coming and taking photos so he even went to the extent of creating T-shirts with "Blue Harvest - Horror Beyond Imagination" on it, (suppoese to be a horror flick, or so the story goes.) Any more questions, just fire away - I got the Star Wars vault for Xmas and am still going through it!!!
Also I'll add my two penn'orth, I saw 'This Is England' last week and thought it was very, very good. Reminded me of growing up when I had me own of Doc Martin boots (the UK equivalent of the shelltoe in iconic footwear terms.)
