Seems there aren't many ppl from the US here. I have to say not many people wearing em in my school either, except like plain white ones and stuff.
Are they more popular over seas, most ppl here wear them AF1's. Those that care about shoes anyways.

Nike will always be the market leader in the US due to its roots.
Thats why adidas bought over Reebok, to try and break into the US market.
adidas will only ever have a cult status in America.
In America, sports is everything and Nike is probably the biggest sports brand in the world.

you have to say that adidas has more than cult status in the US.
They are the athletic supplier to the New York Yankees, all of the NBA, personal sponsor to one of the most famous NASCAR drivers, Dale Earnhardt Jr, personal sponsor to famous MLS player David Beckham...
Massive exposure in the US.

Here in Holland is Nike also the market leader. Superstars are not popular at all to the majority.

I think that is part of the appeal for me though. If everyone was rocking soups then they wouldn't be so cool.
Noikes are rocked by so many wannabe ballers that they kind of lose their appeal because I don't really identify with that clique.

Yeah, in my High School it's either AF1's, some horrible looking Nike basketball stuff, Nike SB's, or Jordans.
A few of us have adidas, I'm the only one in the whole school with adidas skateboarding.

I've noticed a lot more people rocking Adidas out here in Cali lately. Not so much supes, but def samba's, gazelles, campus's etc. But yeah more people are def into AF1's and converse and stuff like that. It's a shame though because I can't wear any sneakers that don't have the 3 stripes, and its become an addiction now, 16 pairs of Adidas Originals and still going strong!

I'm from Boston and prefer Adidas and Puma. Grew up in the 80's. Never have been a huge fan of nikes - never fit quite right. Adidas has been doing the stronger collabs as of late. Really liked the new consortiums, materials of the world, adicolor, and 35th releases.
