saw these at the shop yesterday and i'm just not feeling them. can't understand how they can release a MC Shan and not a KRS-ONE, but i guess i'm just old school like that.

Thought about the Big Daddy Kane's, just to represent, but with the impending drop of the Force pack I need to save money for the ebay premiums.

Well I think it has to do with the bridge wars. One of the reason's I bought the shoe's. It started all with Marley Marl & MC Shan with the song 'The Bridge' where they say hiphop started in queensbridge. Then Boogie down productions came with a song where they said it started in South bronx. I'm guessing they chose it because this would be one of the first 'battle' vs two MC's.

I'm also a bigger fan of KRS-one then MC shan. But I just liked the shoe Razz.

so with the release of MC Shan's shoe, does that mean that the war is finally over and he won?

Way bigger fan of BDP than MC Shan and never really thought that Shan had much of an impact on hiphop - sure, Marley Marl was an important producer and 'Queenbridge' is an important song in hip hop history, but not more important than almost anything off of Criminal Minded or By All Means Necessary.

That said, yeah, the Shan is a good looking shoe. Just too bad it wasn't attached to a better MC.

Maybe KRS shouldn't have been name checking Nike back in the day...
