I agree with streak, and the cyclone II's aren't too bad.

I saw these in a documentary, they had some 'shoe expert' type people checking out the shoe and the said they were pretty much as good as any shoe. Stephon Marbury plays in them (in the NBA). They are trying to make quality sports gear more attainable to less well off people. Pity they only sell them at limited stores in the states, I'd pick up a pair for that price

But how did they get the name and the recognition in the first place? In 1928 there were not many people who had heard of adidas, but some athletes wore them while competing at the Olympics, and more people found out about them.

Starbury has just started, and it may not currently have the recognition that some other brands have, but everything has to start somewhere. These are not just cheap, knock-off, no brand shoes trying to be something they're not, they are sports shoes, and it just happens that they are cheap.

I didn't get into soups because I found out that other people thought they were cool, or because they were expensive, I started wearing them because I thought they looked cool. Similarly there might be people who rate Starburys (God knows there must be, look at how many fugly nikes are sold). I don't think the brand should be written off purely because it makes affordable kicks.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Starbury released a super limited run of shoes, amongst a heap of hype, but still at $14.95??

As Mr P says if they are trying to make footwear affordable to everyone then that is a bloody good thing to do and very rare in this day and age of excess greed that we are forced to live in.
However i do think Starbury is a crap name for a trainer! Just my opinion!

Hes making cheap trainers, because he wants to promote himself. Making well built trainers by a reputable manufacturers didn't work too well for him. I really dont know much about the guy honestly, but I have beef with him due to the fact that he left my team, the Timberwolves. You see his didn't want to play as the second best player on the team, under Garnet.(He didn't want to be a Scotty Pippen) So he left, and failed as a leading player. Maki9ng cheap imitation name brand shoes is nothing new.

As for d designs, OK maybe he's pushing it slightly wid his designs but hey, at least he's helping underprivileged kids. No one, for one reason or another buys them so they flop sales wise. therefore, they go for $15 to $20, which works out to b roughly £5-£!0, give or take £1.
