I'd have guessed pigskin as opposed to suede too.

Yeah, I don't understand why they would do that. Like the suede on the front of the Forest Hills.
Good looking shoe, tho, man!

@Tifoso
"The shoe was mainly designed for sportsmen who played a German nine pin bowling game known as Keglen. Another feature of the model was the reinforced toe box for extra durability as Keglen players often dragged their toes" Hence the use of suede less friction.
If you think suede on the front is mad wait until you see shoes with suede on the soles.

Great history lesson on the Keglers Erl...I had a few pairs of Kegs but hated that fact re: suede beneath the toebox...grass stains killed my 1st pair, and the pair above was a moment of pure insanity re: the ostrich leather/pattern...Kegs are super comfy though, and fit the foot well - at least mine

^ Says someone from a country where they call football soccer, and some sport which is mainly played with your hands football. Where they think that turning your steering wheel to the left for hours and hours is racing. Where people are so arrogant to call themselves world champion although they only play those sports in the USA and the rest of the world really doesn't give a shit about those sports etc. etc. etc.
And you're calling us crazy...

Yeah, I never understood the attraction of racing on a banked oval for hours, either. The rednecks seem to really love it, tho. And then we haven't had a decent F1 driver since Andretti.
Signed,
Tifoso (World Champion)

Sweet, Nik. Yeah, the materials are top notch. May be my most comfortable shoe.
@Ben: I can't even remember the last Superbowl that I watched.
