You would think companies prone to be targeted by counterfieters would be pressuring eBay more with the threat of legal action, imagine how much brands like Diesel, Abercrobie, Louis Vitton, BAPE (and Adidas
) are having their brand devalued due to fakes.
If I was MD of Adidas i'd be fighting eBay all the way to stamp out fakes completely, surely there must be a legal argument that eBay are not doing enough to combat the problem!
You would think Adidas should would have a team of people solely to spot fakes and get eBay to remove them, the cost of which would be drop in the ocean to a company of their size and stature.
Currently it appears that brands are just choosing to live with it, was there not a guy who sent a suspect pair of Ian Browns to Adidas UK asking if they were fake, their response was 'yes they are' that was it, no attempt to try and find out the origin or where they were purchased from, do they actually care??
