His already got Neg feedback for selling fakes, what a doughnut! I would report him but me and the bay rent seeing eye to eye at the moment and it has been letters back and forward all of last week but it appears that they will not do anything and furthermore they claim its not their responsibility as there is a small clause in their small print that states they cannot guarentee authenticity of basically anything that is sold and even after reporting a seller all they do is look at the feedback and if its ok they do nothing! Im forwarding all of my correspondance to the Trading Standards and Watchdog when i get a minute! Its not good enough and has made my blood boil! angryfire

E-Bay might not be able to say if the goods are legit or not but the seller has to say they are ok when they list the item so they shouldn't able to get away seling fakes (yeah right!!!!) and E-bay should do something about it.....

- Sooper - 23-01-07

Yeah its a bit of a cop out in my view and they should do more to help the buyers not the sellers. I have asked why sellers who i have reported over a year ago and others on here have reported are still selling and they just will not answer me!! Half the time you just get this templated response that they are sorry you have had a bad experience .. etc! It is very frustrating trying to complain when you arent even sure anyone is actually doing anything or even reading what has been written!
Customer Service!! Theyve never heard of it!! Im not going to let it go either! Its really wound me up! Smile

eBay do seem to be making some attempts at combating this kind of thing, by the looks of this. It's profoundly vague, of course, but it's promising... slightly.

And yeah, which TK Maxx are we talking about? I like those...

- mr.pure - 23-01-07

Yep, ebay are doing something about it allright.
Playing straight into the hands of the people selling the fakes and stopping average sellers selling the occassional pair of Superstars.

- Sooper - 23-01-07

I think that if multiple people are reporting the same sellers that should really alert them to the fact that maybe a seller is not legit and then they should investigate properly and not just read the feedback! Its incredible and trying to get a response to any questions isnt easy , its like trying to talk to a child who has its hands over its ears! Pretending it isnt really happening! I did see that they are no longer gonna let sellers hide feedback which is good and a few other things that escape me at the mo but they need to get rid of the crap fake sellers! Its not our job to police the site for them and yes ebay was set up with trust in mind but we all know that you cant rely on sellers telling the truth etc , ebay needs to wake up and join the rest of us in the real world! Twisted Evil
Time for a beer now, must calm down! Very Happy

You would think companies prone to be targeted by counterfieters would be pressuring eBay more with the threat of legal action, imagine how much brands like Diesel, Abercrobie, Louis Vitton, BAPE (and Adidas Rolling Eyes ) are having their brand devalued due to fakes.

If I was MD of Adidas i'd be fighting eBay all the way to stamp out fakes completely, surely there must be a legal argument that eBay are not doing enough to combat the problem!

You would think Adidas should would have a team of people solely to spot fakes and get eBay to remove them, the cost of which would be drop in the ocean to a company of their size and stature.

Currently it appears that brands are just choosing to live with it, was there not a guy who sent a suspect pair of Ian Browns to Adidas UK asking if they were fake, their response was 'yes they are' that was it, no attempt to try and find out the origin or where they were purchased from, do they actually care?? Confused
