"And lo they did travel west towards the sun and the holy men did consider
that the trainers were good, and they were good. And the Shepherd did make
that they would be kosher, something of oddness but not of a fake.
There was much rejoicing and they did feast on the lambs, the ogats and the sloth and Olstar saw that it was good. "

The Gospel of Saint Woody.
Chapter 6 verse 35.

ok, just picked these up at the post office, and it's definitely the shoes in the pics, but I still can't figure out exactly what they are.

The white leather is shinier than the leather used on the real Dassler's and the insoles have a different shape too + the small 'padding' is glued to the bottom of the insoles as opposed to a 'separate padding' which the real ones have. The laces are a little thicker too and they don't have the '1 Celebration Adi Dassler' sticker on the inside of the tongue. None of all this is consistent with neither the real ones nor the fake ones though.

However, the assembly looks good, there are no 'heel clits' and the gold stamp on the side looks exactly like the real one. They also feel more or less like the real ones when worn considering the different insoles and the 7 lace holes. The stitching looks like the real ones too and they have the right 'curve' around the ankles which is something the fake ones usually never have. And of course there's also the fact that the good consortiums haven't been made in this size + I've never seen any fake consortiums with 'sample' on the inside label.

If these are indeed samples I'm guessing they were made at an early stage of the process though, but to be honest I think they could be fake too.

Highly unlikely fella.
Sounds exactly like a pre production sample.
Obviously ironing out a few design flaws on the way to a finished model.
Be happy fella.

Very Happy

By the way, IIRC you have both authentic and fake Footpatrols, right? Are there any significant differences that are easy to spot?

Fo schizzle.
But it won't work if they are samples.
Take both left shoes and sit them next to each other.
One slightly ahead of the other, from the side look at the angle that the shell comes over the front and into the sole.
The real ones came in at a much shallower angle, the fakes came in at damn near 90*.

Confused

I'll do some photos if you can't get my meaning.
