Indeed, if we view the attendees as a percentage of population of each city then the Manchester meet was entirely more successful.

Interesting way to look at it.
However, with Manchester being closer to the geographical centre of the UK, you were in fact much closer to the vast majority of UK members whereas London is tucked away in the darkest South East corner of the UK.
I think we did exceptionally given that only 2 of us actually live round here.......................
