The poverty side of it was no fun. After 5 years I'd had enough.
However I had a funking great time, got to coach footy in the US, met loads of mad people (nice ladies ), good mates and they gave me a 2:2 at the end of it. Happy days.
fc didn't fail any years.

No, the summer before my final year I got to coach footy for a few months.
If I hadn't been at uni I wouldn't have had that chance.
Took me six years to pay off my stoodent loan.

Nice news Farmer. I wish your son good luck, particularly in his quest for fine ladies. Although in Cali, they definitely aren't hard to come by

Old fashioned Rock n' Roll music made me wahoo like a banshee this evening. AC/DC were blinding, proper unashamed devil horn rock shennanigans.

My brother got into UCSD for the fall semester so I'm really proud of him too, he's just waiting to hear from UCLA, I know your a USC fan haha, and if he gets in there then I'm sure my parents will throw him a huge party.
One of my buddies graduated from Long Beach last year, and I used to visit him at the campus often. Pretty nice place to hang out, lots of on campus activities, just make sure to never park your car on the street. My friends Honda Civic Si got broken into twice, and then finally straight up stolen!
If your son's considering medicine, tell him to go for it! I'm a 3rd year medical student myself, and even though it's a shit load of work, with the current outlook on jobs and the economy it's good to know that the medical field is somewhat recession proof. There is always a lack of physicians, and that means you'll find a job with pretty good income.
Your Brother got into UCSD? Dude... that's HUGE these days. It's not like it was years ago. The requirements are through the roof now for the UCs
Unfortunately my son waited a little too long to pull his head out of the clouds and get the grades needed to follow Dad to SC. Besides... I can't afford to send him there anyway!
But, he finally knuckled down and will be graduating with a 3.2GPA which was good enough for Long Beach. He has some friends that live way outside the district that didn't get into Long Beach with 3.9 & 4.0s. It's crazy out there.
Long Beach should be a great time for him. TONS of young women, Good Bio program and he's a volleyball player so he's interested in the team. One of the nation's top teams.

Yeah def proud of what my brother accomplished. I got rejected by UCSD myself back in 2003! And yeah USC tuition is damn pricey! Man getting rejected from any California system school with a 3.9 or 4.0 would feel really shitty. I believe I read a few weeks ago on Yahoo that UCSD sent acceptance letters to all applying freshman on accident, and then sent the rejection letters to people that were meant to be rejected 2 hrs later. I'm sure this mentally screwed over quite a few people, LOL.
Nice nice, yeah Long Beach def has some cute girls on campus, and as a volleyball player I don't think he should have a tough time getting any

The longer, warmer and much dryer evenings have finally arrived and it's time to dust off the shovels and pick axes and get back in the woods to dig out some new jumps and trails for the summer. (The last lot got flattened by a group of angry ramblers)
Also, fingers crossed, I might also be buying a new house in which the garden backs into my local country park, meaning my favourite riding spot will then literally be in my backyard. Happy days!
