I find it addictive only when I have a goal to aim ie - date of actual half marathon, otherwise I do sod all.

Is it warm down in Notts? That's a classic noobie runner mistake, don't go when it's warm and sunny, running is hard make a bit easier for yourself.

I was gonna go to the gym after work, get a 6k run in, but my mates invited me over to his for a BBQ, beer and sitting in the sunshine. I'm gonna do that instead.

Going to my all new re built 100 station gym tomorrow am just a bit excited. Its going to be huge compared to the three running machines two bikes and two cross trainers it did have.
Always has the answer to lifes dilemas.

Well, kinda it was only about 9:00am but it was already pretty warm. To be fair, there was all sorts wrong. I stupidly decided to wear some beatdown old airmax I had from way back and the rubber must've rotted cos the outersole peeled away from the heel and air unit literally fell out half way round. (Yes, I know noike's are shit for proper running) Plus I had a cotton t-shirt on so once that got sweaty it was hangin and giving me joggers nipple, I didnt think to take just the backdoor key so I had this massive bunch swinging around and wackin me in the nuts every step and this was all after a 10hr nightshift and a cheeky spliff when I got in from said nightshift. All in all a fuckin poor attempt! Will try harder tomorrow. Honest.

on another note... just downloaded a new flash template for my new website... hopefully I can figure out how to edit and use it... if now I'll be employing my web designer friend to do it lol

Dude, prior to this attempt, last time I ran anywhere Margaret Thatcher was our PM! I’m a cyclist, I usually just stuff my keys, ipod, banana, innertubes etc etc in the pockets on the back of my jersey where you don’t even notice they’re there. I just didn’t think it through! Today will be a different story!

lol SS are you one of those dicks who're at the cafe with full skin tight riding gear on looking like you're a pro whos about to enter tour de fance (yet you only ride one saturday morning a month with your mates for like an hour), sipping on a latte with your feet up while everyone else has to try maneuver around your bikes which are sprawled out along the footpath, covering half the damn enterance to the cafe?

Nah, I'm an off-road cyclist mainly, DH mountain bikes and BMX. I do like road and go out quite often but not into the group ride/cafe scene, full of tossers you so accurately describe above! And I don't do lycra, it scares the kids and dog
