seriously i worked all through college to pay for it and even after that i want to grad school, worked 40-50 hours a week, and still managed to get by. i know i may sound like one of those "back when i was a kid" ranters but has life gotten that much tougher.

Like I said none of you i doubt realise how much pressure is on me and my year group to do well especially my set which is top, It may sound like school is easy but its really been taking it out of me these past few weeks and thats the honest truth, I do want to work as obviously I want money Its just working mentally all week at school then working physically on the weekend leaves me ABSOLUTELY FUCKED come revising for my exams.

Also pirate i understand where you are coming from but its not like this is midway through the year. This is right at the end and if i don't get it right... thats it. Kwimbie you are 36 and i know where you are coming from too but its a bit different now.

Try a hotel, the work is shite, but they like casual staff, especially in the summer.

Yeah although I worked 30-40 hours a week while at uni, I wouldnt advise it as it totally fucks you up. So tiring going from uni straight to work having one day off a week + no weekend. Gotta be total hardcore to do that shit!

20 or so would probably have a been a better amount

I didnt get holidays or sick pay as I was only casual, so if I was sick or wanted time off no money for me!

I've constantly had a job since I was 15 (I'm 26 now), worked through highers at school then 30 odd hours of uni classes (not including extra study etc) plus 30 hours a week as a till monkey at WH Smith. You want money? Work. Them's the choices. Jesus, I sound like my Dad.

Although, if your studying so hard etc it might be better not having money as it might just distract you, going out instead of revising etc. And if you're at such a good school, sometimes that seems to matter just as much to uni's etc when it comes to applying for places. I've seen folk at uni who where a bawhair away from being certifiably retarded, yet got in just as easy as the clever folk. Why? Cos they went to a school that looked like a fucking castle.

I'm rambling now...
