Ok folks so following on from my original post here

This guy is an obvious fraudster! First i paid him stating how happy i was with the buy etc, how the last ones i purchased were fake etc and he sends me this message on ebay

"im going to give you a full refund as im only 95% sure of their authenticity and dont want to spoil ur b'day- hope you appreciate this.

WTF! So i reply to him thus:

"Hey

So whats the deal? How can you be 95% sure of authenticity? Surely they are real or they aren't? I mean where did you buy them?

Can you provide pics of the detailing? Ie is there an adidas logo under the metal IB Logo?

Man this sucks I've been after a pair of these for ages and now your telling me that your selling something that your not 100% sure is genuine. What kinda way is that to conduct business?

And does he reply? Hell no! So i get his contact address etc off ebay, then i speak to him on msn last night and the conversation was like this.

Then i blocked his punk ass and reported him to Ebay.

So the guy uses the name soldmynanone-bay (i also believe he has a new ID hardest-way-to-make-an-easy-living) he is based in Nottingham in the UK, he uses the email adress of stefanandrusyk@hotmail.com and the email address his ebay account is connected to is jolenejane@hotmail.com

I dunno if this is any help to anyone but if it stops another user being as gutted as i was then it was worth it.

Unlucky Hippyadam - harsh u never got your IB's but at least you got your money back & ebay have banned him - he's no longer a registered user

Keep looking though - another pair will turn up at the right price - may just take a little while...

I hate to go against the grain here but the shoes in your original thread are real !
Did it occur to no one that just maybe he got caught up in all the hype last year and bought trainers he knew nothing about.
I reckon he was just trying to protect himself by offering you the money back as he genuinely wasn't certain.
I reckon you blacklisted a reasonable dude and missed out on some cheap arse IB's.
Someone has to be the first buyer off some people and they tend to get a bargain.
I took the risk of buying some Footpatrols off someone with no feedback and whilst I cacked my pants for 2 weeks it was unfounded and I ended up with a major bargain.

I guess we'll never know.

Maybe the trainer companies should try and think of ways to help buyers on ebay not buy fakes..

Maybe they should serial tag the limited edition ones?

Its gettin hard to spot em tho now dude isnt it!

I recon the only way to check is to match the barcode on the tag to the barcode on the box..

Thats somethign that tends to point to them being fake or not..
