Also the leather should be nice and smooth the fake ones I got stung with were more of a mottled leather un like my real ones also look for the little L on the box as a sticker guide and the spare laces should be tightly wrapped hope thats of some help

you mean 'rubberising' shelltoe? i'm sure they were plain color just like leather, it's just time who changed their shade..
