so £250 for a phone that can't send picture messages, has a shitty camera and doesn't do video? Sounds like a bargain...
To be honest I use my phone to send texts and phone people and that's it. If I want to go on the internet I prefer to use a screen big enough to actually see, so a PC seems to work slightly better for that funnilly enough.

I was at the Apple store this past Saturday and got to play around with the iphone, more than the first time I saw it. And I must say whatever it does, it does very well! There seems to be no lag on any of the apps, the interface is very easy to use, going online is wayyy better than the IE browser on my HTC, and even though it's a 2.0 mp camera without flash it takes better pics than my 3.2 mp HTC. But given these facts, the contract is pretty expensive per month, you can't really install any apps of your own on the device, there is no actual keyboard it's only on-screen, and you have to use itunes which I really really hate, as opposed to drag and drop with the HTC on the microSD. So at least for now I'm going to stick with my HTC, and it's pretty nice since I got a touch-flo rom working on it, a genesis and snes emulator, and tom tom nav! Plus it was only a $100 after rebates!!!

I have yet to get my hands on one to look at and have a play with but it does look like a lush bit of kit as you would expect from Apple and from what reviews i have read there seems to be a definate split in views. As a standard mobile it is very good especially the Internet side of things but if you are used to having a Smart phone then this falls short in a few areas as others have listed previously. If they do come down in price and contracts i wouldnt mind one getting one. Its certainly the best looking phone i have ever seen!

I don't have an iPhone...
But my 1st Generation iPod nano took shit on me over the weekend so I went out to buy a new one last night. I got to looking at the iPod Touch (which is the same as the iPhone but no phone) and I bought that bad boy right up.
I love the thing, Great music and video management, fast as hell and damn fast internet connection when you have Wi-Fi available. I'm glad i spent the extra $100 and upgraded from the Video Nano I was going to buy. No point in getting an iPhone for me. the company has me on the blackberry all the time and one phone is enough.

yeah, i'm a big fan of the touch, but i still think the shuffle is my favourite because of the size. don't listen to it on shuffle though - the shuffle programming is crap. If you pay attention you notice that it doesn't actually shuffle, it just plays a loop of the same songs over and over and doesn't end up playing some tracks at all.
