I have contacted Adidas Customer care Uk by phone a few times asking them about various fake sellers and they asked me to draft a mail to them listing what i have come across on ebay and about this site and what it does etc. That was back in March and i am still yet to get a satisfying reply so far ever time i enquire why they havent followed up my mail at all i just get this templated reply stating that they are looking into it? it seems to me that they either dont want our help or couldnt really care? I will keep hassling them but i get the impression that it is yet another waste of time much like ebay.

thats a shame really, half of me thinks that as 99% of what the fakers sell are limited / discontinued stock then maybe adidias turn a blind eye to it as it only really improves peoples brand awareness.

I can understand Adidas not going after sellers that only sell a few pairs of fakes but there are loads of repeat offenders who have been doing this for ages and nothing has happened? Although Adidas doesnt need the money it isnt good for their rep as so many people who have bought snides, especially the 35th range and have left positive feedback for the seller are probably now thinking that Adidas quality is pretty poor. Also we are doing most of the legowrk for them and all they have to do is put pressure on ebay to release the details of certain sellers to them. I dont see what is so hard for them to pursue these people who are laughing at ebay and Adidas and taking the piss and more importantly taking the publics hard earned money which winds me right up.

I contacted Adidas New Zealand about fakes recently, via email, and haven't had a reply, and there has been no change to the selling habits of the named fakers. A little disappointed, but what I expected none the less... I got ripped off before I joined the forum, and it pisses me off knowing that so many other people are getting ripped off

maybe an open letter signed by teh forum and POSTED to adidas hq may get a better response - if they are aware that its not just the odd person moaning but that there is a site deidicated to superstars where people have to come as they dont know if they are buying genuine ones or not may make adidas start communication / doing something a bout it

They know all of this and were mighty impressed by the forum and what it does and i was told (over the phone) that they would definately welcome our help and our expertise but so far diddly squat has happened?
I will keep pursuing them but maybe a letter of some sorts wouldnt hurt and would emphasise the fact no end.
I think it is down to time and money with a company as big as Adidas and really it should be ebay that is vetting its sellers and products, not them or us for that matter? Its frustrating that we are willing to put in the time and effort to put this right and we are getting no help. Am i surprised, not really its the way things seem to be these days.

As mentioned, ebay don't really give a shit. It's practically impossible to actually contact anyone at ebay anyway seeing as there's no email addresses or telephone numbers anywhere on the site, just those stupid contact forms that get you nowhere.
I think it would really be up to adidas to take ebay to court over it but that could get expensive as they are both massive companies. Either that or adidas get the details of the fake sellers off ebay and take the individuals to court but for a few hunred quid of fakes a month they probably couldn't be arsed.
It is a shame as innocent people get stung especially with the superfakes that even us lot have found it hard to identify on occasion. I think we should ignore ebay for the time being and try and get somewhere with adidas directly, Soopers' doing a sterling job though

Don't put my name to this but a little while ago I did have contact numbers for ebay in da states if thats any help. Be very wary though, only big time powersellers get these (which im not) and they have been known to change their numbers a lot. I'll have a look 4u lot but im not making any promises.Peace.

I Have sent Adidas another mail this morning asking why i havent had a satisfactory reply to my mail that i sent to them in March and that i am very disapointed with their lack of Customer service especially as we are taking the time and trouble to try and combat the fake sellers. I have asked them not to fob me off anymore with " This is important to us and we are looking into it etc" and give me a straight reply which to my mind is common courtesy. It feels very similar to when i was mailing ebay!
I will keep you posted as to the outcome but i dont think much is gonna happen if im honest. We will see!

I think Adidas could do a lot more than they are including putting pressure on ebay to actually do something. I constantly report sellers through ebay but nothing ever seems to happen and as Woody said you cant ever contact ebay directly to get an answer to anything which just compounds the problem. I cant see Adidas going after one off sales but we all know of plenty of sellers who sell nothing but fakes? If Adidas got one or two of these people i am sure they could get out of them their contacts of where these fakes are coming from to avoid a criminal record? I realise that it may not be as legally simple as i have just made it out to be but im sure something could be done?

I have been watching programmes on scammers, and fake sellers on markets...
And trading standards LOVE the whole fake market..
SO..
Im gonna contact them instead, and grass on eBay for not giving a shit that THOUSANDS of fake products are being sold on their site!
