The formula is simple. The work we do is hand painted, but we tackle the method differently. I went to school for animation. I majored in traditional animation. If you have ever seen any of the behind the scenes on how they paint animation cells you pretty much have the method there. All of the people in my camp are hardcore artists, graf, painting, cartooning etc. We just took the methods and carried it over. Some have argued it's paint by numbers hack job, but I'm sure if you came at one of the artists that worked on a movie like Akira they would disagree. Bruce Lee said it best, "Absorb what is useful." We did and thats the finished product. We are glad you like them. Thank you much.

Very high quality, the artwork is excellent and the finish very good too.
However...
I can't help but think this isn't really much of a custom job? It's essentially just buying a pair of white trainers and painting a picture on them.
There's no attempt to change the substance of the shoe with effects done on the leather or deconstruction of the shoe and rebuild in a different material etc. Nor much attempt to use the shape and nature of the shoe to dictate the style of the artwork.
I'm not trying to be negative cos like I say the standard of the artwork is very high but it's not really a custom shoe in my eyes.
That's gonna be inflammatory as fook I just know it
Wishing it was like the old days again

Well, I understand what you are saying as far as the physical work on the shoe. The cutom in a sense is a CUSTOM paint job. Look at it like this. If someone gives you a tattoo is that not custom job? Or on a car or motorcycle.
I feel and totally respect your views on that, but I still see it as a custom working. Thanks for the props fellas. All in all we try to flip something fresh for the eyes.
Much love.

For my two cents, it is customising as you are changing the appearance of the shoe entirely.
It's irrelevant to me that the materials haven't been changed.
