They look right to me even if they have run a few laps in the box.

They're real and I reckon he hasn't worn 'em either.
The dark shells go like that when they are left in the box.
Those salt sachets are good for the leather but prolonged exposure seems to make the rubber dry out too much.

A little rub with a damp cloth always gets them back to normal. I have that problem all the time when I wear my Tokyos as they only get worn about once every six months. Not one of my favourites I must say.
