eBay IB's I wuz had... now for feedback -
merv - 12-09-06
Wish i'd found this site earlier before purchasing some IB's off ebay from ukyan. They were so obviously fake as soon as i got them. It took me approximately 3 seconds to realise and i'm not even a superstar expert.
Luckily, i managed to get a refund (minus P&P). so not all a bad story but i fail to understand why i shouldn't leave negative feedback. He was very understanding in refunding me but f*** him, I wanna stop other people getting burned...
trying to construct a suitable line of feedback.... any suggestions...
maybe it should be....
FAKES, SuperstarDB dot COM can help.
but he still hasn't left feedback for me, so he'll probably give me negative if i do him. eBay shouldn't show either feedback until both have left it i reckon.
Anyway, nice site.. thanks for the info... I'll be more careful in future.

I'd leave a positive as he was fine refunding, just pu they were fakes.

It's difficult but at the end of the day you had to send them back I assume and pay the postage. Fuck him.
I wait 90 days and then hit him with a negative before the deadline expires.

Or maybe put neutral at the 90 day limit, explaining they were fakes & you got a refund (less p&p)!

Good call, I wish I'd done this recently after getting a retaliation neg off some twat, ebay just refuse to remove it the wankers.

If somebody's sold something as genuine in good faith but delivers fakes they should return all of your money including the postage.
Fuck 'em, all or hit it's a negative.
Make that clear to them.
Anyone viewing your feedback will see that the item you bought turned out to be fake so they are in the wrong.

Thanks for all the tips.
I had decided to go and leave feedback today and ukyan seems to have given up and is not registered with eBay anymore.
I would hope that is something to do with a message I sent to eBay complaining about it but i doubt it.
And i was gonna hit him with a negative as well.
I'm sure he'll be back under a new name.

Maybe we should appeal to ebay, and ask them to make it so you cnat see feedback till both have left it!
Thats a good idea that is!

If he says they were authentic in his listing then I would say you can leave feedback saying they were fakes.
Just be straight forward about it.

I emailed ebay...
Quote:Feedback > Understanding the Feedback system > Leaving, replying, and following up to feedback
Message: Hi, i run SuperstarDB.com. And for about a year we have been advising your customers on buying adidas superstars. There are so many fakes about now, and some are very hard to spot. People are directed towards my site via a guide on ebay, and we have helped MANY MANY MANY people buy only genuine sneakers.
One of the members piped up and has brought a vewry valid issue to our attention. He bought some superstars, and after reading the tips on our site he realised they were in fact fakes - and he had been ripped off. So he started the paypal dispute jobby, and apart from the P&P he got his money back.
But then he was in a position to leave feedback..
If he left bad feeback, the seller would too, therefore damaging his 100% good feeback rating.
If he left good feeback, then it wouldnt be any use to future customers of the fake seller, and many more people would buy fake superstars off him.
Is there not a way whereby you could make the feeback INVISABLE until both parties have left feeback? then it will be an unbiased opinion of that transaction, not an opinion retaliating to some previously left bad feeback.
I understand this is not something you can just "turn on" but it is something you could look at implementing in the future - and it would help your customers buy the real deal, instead of being stung with shoddy fakes.
I would appreciate if a human, not a robot, could get back to me in regards this - so i can update the members of my site.
Regards
Olly (SuperstarDB.com Admin)

HAHAHA, I like that you ask for a human to reply and not a robot, and eBay just sends a standard reply anyway...LOL... nothing in that answer indicates that anyone has actually read your question.
Stupid f*cks, they should care more about their customers IMO
