Fake Ian Browns -

This is what happens when you spend £68 on a pair of Ian Browns without being a member of SSDB. Wish I had taken the time to find you guys before parting with my dosh on a pair, of what I know now, are fakes.
For your info I bought these on ebay from retrobandit80.
I have definately joined the war against fake soops.
Apologies for the poor tongue pics, but I can assure you the serial numbers are the same on both shoes.

Not yet, I checked the advert and they were not advertised as genuine Adidas but as I have not had this happen to me before so wasn't sure if I could still claim a refund.
If anyone can advise as to my rights please help.

mate if it says ADIDAS and IAN BROWN... then its advertising them as what they are. Get your money back.
but yer, im sure veryone else will be able to advise u better than me!!
The only way it would be ok is if they state in the ad, "not authentic" or "replica's'.

Yeah they are pretty shocking. Happens to the best of us though!
I take it you paid with paypal? Lodge a claim with them.

Cheers, do I need to raise the claim with Paypal or eBay?

Used to be paypal but it's ebay now, it's kind of all linked together. Not entirely sure what you need to supply to prove they're fake, few people on here have had the same problem so they'll be better equipped to advise you. And you don't have to return the shoes either.

Just thought you all might want to read the reply I got from the ebay seller when I asked him for refund. It may make you laugh or get you annoyed.
You can see the pics these are not genuine. Me thinks a claim is on the way.
"Hi let me start off by saying ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL A FAST ONE?or is a friend of yours jealous that you got a bargain & telling you they're fake.I really don't know but im not happy with your comments,i paid a lot of money for the trainers i sent you & i do not buy, sell or deal in fake anything whatsoever. The trainers i posted to you are original,if you had any thoughts that an item might be fake then you really shouldn't be trying to buy them.Just because you got them cheap doesn't mean they are fakes.Thats the way the auction goes could have went for any money.Im sorry you think this."

Pretty standard response, it's hard to tell if they are being honest (got ripped off themselves) or just being a bandit. Maybe the clue is in his seller name
Either way that's not how to respond to a buyer complaint.
Forget about talking to him just get your money back through ebay / paypal. We have a SSDB letter template for this, which counts as the expert opinion. Open a dispute then PM me if you need it.

From the look of his feedback I'm guessing he isn't a regular seller of fakes, so he's more than likely unaware of their shitness. No need for him to reply in such a cunty manner though.

Cheers, I have raised a complaint with eBay and listed SSDB as an expert witness. Hopefully get a reply soon.

I think i might have seen these on the bay as they are my size, if they are the ones i'm thinking of the seller has had them on there for a month or so gradually reducing the price, they did have a picture of the heels so either they didn't know they were fake or they were being extremly cocky, hope you get your money back.

Think you may be right, there is a picture of the heels so he might not have known himself. Unfortunately at the time neither did I.
Doesn't stop them being fakes tho.

If you can't come to a solution with paypal you can allways directly contact your creditcard-company. That's how I got my money back when I bought two fake pairs. They just needed some correspondation between me and the seller as evidence. But I think you will get what you deserve by contacting paypal. Good luck mate!
