Berlin's discoloured -
Squeaky - 03-02-10
Hi,
I can buy a pair of deadstock Berlin's but the shoes seem to have some discouloration.
Is there a way to bring the colour back? Especially the red sole. I've seen this before on a pair of I Love Paris. The price is GBP 55. What would you guys do? I'm afraid I might get irritated by the discouloration. I'm really a perfectionist
.
Cheers,
Rob

this is no prob rob.
it is quite normal for shoes which are in storage for a long time. take some shoecleaner
like this and the discoloring is gone.

My Paris' did have a similar slight discolouration on the sole but as sk8 said, those are easily fixed with proper "poisons". I'm also after the Berlins but I'm holding back from getting any pairs right now and saving a bit to other things.

That's about the same kind of change than I managed to do with the Paris'.

Thanks guys. Glad to hear it's no prob. Great improvement on your checkered supes sk8. I will buy the shoes then.

The bastard sold them to someone from Finland, Grimmy?

*LOL* it is really good fun if the buyer is Grimmy

You wish and I wish.
The truth is, yes and no in a way. Surprisingly. I wish it would have been me but as I said, I'm saving my pennies for a few other things right now so no supes for me for a while.
But I do know who got them as I got a happily shouting email from the actual buyer a while ago so I can assure you it wasn't me.. the guy who got them is a nutcase I've known since I was a kid and he was talking about seeing the Berlins somewhere earlier in the afternoon. The worst thing is, he doesn't collect supes apart from 2-3 specific pairs but mainly ugly noiikes. The yes-no connection here is, he shares my first name but luckily not the last name.
Oh man do I sound like a schizo there?!

Don't feel bad Grimmy, as a child I used to have an imaginary friend too. His name was simply "monkey" we were inseperable, apart from whenever anything bad happened, like the time someone smashed my granny's glass coffee table. I wasn't anywhere near it but Monkey was. Just admit this "friend" is really noike loving your alter-ego, you'll feel better.

Did "monkey" come back and post a second time?:p

I really didn't win the Berlins nor did I ever have an imaginary friend either and I rather cut off a finger than touch a pair of N**es. Only things somewhat imaginary in my life, were in my childhood, the half "imaginary" spankings with a staple belt I recieved after getting caught doing bad things.
F**k, now you got me to recall how miserable childhood I had..

Whiskey, I do feel bad. They were a buy it now item. Nobody bought them so I negotiaded about the price. He named his price but also said a guy from Finland (suddenly) offered the full amount. But he preferred to sell them to me because the guy from Finland wasn't a registered paypal-user. I had no time to reply because I had to go out for a game of squash. I got back, confirmed his price but he suddenly sold them to Grimmy, uhhh I mean the guy from Finland
I felt sad

He didn't even pay with paypal? He needs a slap in the face with a rotten trout! Funneehh tho, as I've always thought he had paypal. At least I am a registered paypal user and that's always my priority in ebay purchases.
Sucks, at least I should have got them instead of someone who will probably get them beaten up in a matter of months.
