Shell and sole turning yellow -

I noticed that some supes are have shells and soles that turn from white to yellow. Is there any way to fix or prevent it? I can post pics if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about.

You not gonna introduce yourself before you start asking questions ?

Sorry I didn't think it was mandatory. I've posted a small introduction now. I read in the sticky that the yellowing effect was caused by sunlight so I guess my question has been partially answered. I guess the only solution to this is to not buy supes that have white shells or soles.

Sunlight can do it but then so can not wearing 'em.
Don't think there's anything you can do about it once it's happened.
You could try using Cif or something similar but it's a bit harsh to use on rubber you care about really.

Very rarely happens on new supes due to that chemical that i can't remember the name of being removed from the sole make-up years ago
If yours are going yellow they are either old, dirty, not worn enough or not looked after

there is something to cure yellowing for icy soles like the underworld ss35 has. if i remember it right it is called "island girl" or "island cure" or something like that. but i dont know what to do on white soles that turn yellow.

A member on here had that problem with a pair of Project Playgrounds that he kept in the box for a while.

I think they might be the ones I ended up with.
There is a product called Sea Glow, haven't used it myself but lots of Noike forums rave about it.
Tippex? Just kidding

I'm going to bump this because I'm unsure of the solution to the yellow soles.
How does not wearing the shoes cause them to yellow, and what exactly is Sea Glow and how could I remove the stains?

sea Glow is something that was origionaly used on yachts, to clean and protect them, but is now being used on sneakers to clean the sole's and keep em clean, I bought some a while back but havent got round to using it yet as you need a bright sunny day to activate the chemicals in it, and as we only had about 10 sunny days this year i didnt spend any of them sitting about cleaning sneaks

a mate of mine used sea glow on the bottom of his g6's
the staten island picture on the inside of the clear sole went from being dull and unnoticable to almost brand new and the image was nice and clear again
dunno how it'd worth with whitening a shell but it'd be your best shot
