Anyone going this weekend?
Anyone (besides me) happy that Silverstone is losing the race to Donnington?
Anyone care?

I've been to silverston to see it and tbh, I don't care which gets it. Silverston lives off the F1 and the "heritage" imo. Donnington will make a nice change

I must admit the Donny Circuit is far better than Silverstone, I for one am happy.
As a fan of the BTCC, Donny is a great circuit (even though they don't do the Melbourne Hairpin) plus I remember the classic first lap of the European Grand Prix in '93. If you don't ask your dads!
Although I personally think they should hold it at Snetterton!

Nah, Brands Hatch.
I'm happy they're leaving Silverstone. Went to the race in '96 and even sitting at Copse it was pretty unexciting. Well, except for Hill's wheel coming off and Villeneuve going on to win the race, but, unless you're at Maggots/Becketts it's pretty uneventful.
Donnington will at least be something 'new'. Get tired of the same old tracks.
Now if they'd just move Japan back to Suzuka, go back to the old configuration of Hockenheim and dump Hungary, I'd be happy.
And bring back Austria. That race was always entertaining for some reason.

agree about hockenheim and suzuka, though last years race at fuji was eventfull to say the least. in fact just have every race round the old nurburgring nordschleife (?) that would sort the men from the boys.

Yeah, the joke in recent years is that all races should be run in the wet!
Or have a lunatic run onto the track like Silverstone and Hockenheim a few years back.
Anyone notice that the nutbar who ran out at Silverstone was the same guy who jumped out at the leader of the Marathon at the Greece Olympics.

All I can remember was at Silverstone he was captured by Stephen Greene who became Marshall of the Year that year. I only know that beacuse he was a fellow Type R owner who used to frequent the Type R forum I used to hang out on.

Reid, you missed out on a gem.
Was a pleasure watching the Ferrari's trying score a maximum 6.0 across the board for their ice staking manoeuvres, I think they did more spins in this race, than Torville & Dean do in a perfomance.
I must admit I was gutted for Barrichello, having to come in to refuel again, missing out on a deserved 2nd place.
But that boy, Hamilton (Ithink his name is), did alright!
