Man, I dont know if any of you guys have ever been to Amsterdam, but I was there on a stop over (not in any state to actually shop) and jeezus christ! Amsterdam has the BEST selection of clothes and trainers I have ever seen!
Literally I am not exaggerating, as an example, on Kalverstraat (probably about 400 meters long) there are 3 footlockers (1 huge one, 1 small one, 1 footlocker juniors) as well as about 4 other big trainer stores, all of which have an insane selection of literally the most awesome trainers I have ever seen, in completely mad colourways, and brands I had never even heard of.
The front runner I went in had a sale rack with all of the Mohammed Alis for 40 Euros (the matching tops were there aswell) some stupidly coloured converse and of course.. the forlorn looking Kashis (which in the flesh are APPALINGLY badly made).. literally, that shops SALE rack probably had more selection than the whole of TK Maxx... I kid you not, I couldent believe some of the trainers I saw there.. I just want some hard cash now to go shopping.. because I was in awe. The only problem is everything is fucking expensive, i think because there is a 19% tax imposed (expensive compared to england).
Seriously tho... I've never seen anything like it. Your never more than 50 meters away from a clothes shop, any of which I would kill to have in england.
Oh and I saw the most stupid shelltoes ever there.. bright green but the shelltoe and possibly the sole were made of clear plastic! Quite a good idea until you realise no one wants to see your socks/toes...
I will find a picture at some point...
Some kinda SuperstarDB field trip or something?

Amsterdam indeed rocks unfortunately i didnt quite make it outta the coffee shops apart from to feed that munchy craving wit the best custard donuts eva!!mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
You say theres other shops there???
p.s them bright greens wit clear toe sound like clr's

I fancy a visit to Amsterdam!!! Soon, they cant be CLR's Pokey lad, the socks wouldnt be visible, the clearness is only down to the fabric under the shell. Like to see them tho'.

After searching for a couple of years i picked up my green Gerd Muellers in Amsterdam.
It was halfway through a heavy session in a coffee shop when i wandered off to get them, my mates didn't believe i was going to buy kicks and thought i was off to do something else.
Whenever we've been back and one of the lads disappears to visit a whore there now said to be "off buying trainers"

Amsterdam is great!! My whole addiction to all things trefoil started there 3 years ago, when I picked up my 35th NYC superstars, now 40 odd pairs later, 30+ TT's later & god knows how many T-shirts, coats & other trefoil related nik-naks later I'm still collecting!
They finally got an Originals store 2 years ago too (at Norwich's expense)!!
I love that place, & it's only a 25 minute flight away too!
If anyone wants to know accomodation I can thoroughly recommend it, & a trip I do everytime I go, The Heineken Experience, the best 10 Euro's you will ever spend!!
Only downside at present is the exchange rate, but it could be worse I could be coverting US$'s to euro's!!!
