Any fellow longboarders on here?
I've really been getting into sliding, though this cursed rain means I've not been out for a bit.
I've also built a press to make my own boards with kicktails & concave. I'm getting better with each one. Sold a few to mates and hope to get a few into some shops too.
Check out the clip below of me and my mate sliding a wicked hill on a couple of the boards that I made. I'm the one wearing the red gloves.

Off to Cadwell Park race circuit on Sunday for a full day's organised sesh. Hopefully I can hone my skills. I canny wait man!

aha! when I moved from Vancouver many years ago my friends got together and bought me a sweet Skull Skates longboard.
Rode it a few times, but got sick of picking gravel out of my hands and put it away.
Fun to watch, though. There's a bunch of guys that would ride the GP track in Montreal and they'd do some crazy stuff. Never tempted me to bring it back out.

Fuckin' hell.
What the fuck are your gloves made of ?

Ha ha, well you can get dead expensive gloves or, like I did, make your own.
Get some crappy gardening gloves. Cut out some thick plastic chopping board with a jigsaw. Blowtorch the shit out of it (wooooo the fumes!) and stick it onto the gloves.
Voila, hard wearing slide gloves that last ages.

When I opened the thread I thought you meant Longboard surfing - which I have actually dabbled in a bit this Summer. That sliding looks quite cool though
My skateboard is a lot smaller though - i've built a wee mini board with decent hardware, when I had a full sized board I hurt myself too much doing silly things

But lately I've been looking at BMXs for a bit of park riding?
