Ebay auction removed due to superstardb link - beno40 - 02-12-07

I don't understand ebay I really don't, listed item with the Superstardb link added to my auction to add authenticity, but had the auction removed.

They removed the auction because the link to superstardb offers to trade, sell or purchase goods or services are not allowed.

1/ Links to web pages that offer to trade, sell or purchase goods or services outside of ebay.
2/Links to sites that solicit ebay user ids or passwords from buyers.
3/Links that encourage buyers to place their bids through a site other than ebay.

Others on ebay I know have the same link, I have just got rid of the link on my auctions and just have the superstardb logo. I was just wandering what your thoughts were?

Its stupid what ebay are doing.metinxthat sum1 from ebay has been snooping round on here, saw the for sale section and thought 'fuck that'.Hence there 1st point. Stupid but thats my pearl of wisdom.

They will automatically check for external links, so if you have just the banner as an image not hyperlinked then it should stand less chance of being taken down.

Did you use the banner? or a text link?

I had both the banner and text link they seem to pick up only on the text link, the banner also is a link but I've kept that.

Its just really annoying because you know that there is far more important things ebay could be doing like stopping fake items on the site and spam bidders.

As I said I'll keep the banner and see what happens, but I thought it would help not only for my sales but as far as reassurance to customers regarding authenticity. But who knows what ebay are thinking Confused
