by success, do you mean you successfuly destroyed them? If i put my shoes in my dishwasher it would kill them!!

hmmm... im confused now
i just got a new pair of supes
from the tag:
its made out of aniline and suede leathers
says i should clean them... instead of cleaning i should just brush off the dirt and treat surface with leather impregnation spray
ok, im confused on what the "leather impregnation spray" actually is.
is it the same thing as the footlocker sneaker protector? the spray that coats the shoes and protect it from dirt, oil and water etc.. it also moisturises the leather.
and what should i do about the suede section of it?
thanks = ]

leather impregnation spray is what they use to make baby leather.
they find a piece of female leather, hit it with the spray and a couple of weeks later, new leather!
use leather spray to protect the leather bit and suede spray to protect the suede bit. or you can do what i've done and bury the leather and suede soops at the bottom of your shelf so you're never tempted to wear them outside and fk it up.

I was gonna say that!
I save the suedes for very dry days, and then stay away from fountains, ice cream, pubs, dogs, small children, goblins

I've been saying this for awhile now. Wet wipes work wonders on your shoes, and you can just toss one when it gets too grimey and grab another.

i haven't had any problems with toothpaste so far - i would try not to leave it on too long on the uppers, especially if they're not white, though.
bought some 'shoe shampoo' the other day. it's foam in a can with a brush on the lid. haven't tried it yet, but a work mate swears by it.
