I was going to place this in the making me boil thread.....but thought I'd keep it in the football topic thread. So, so gutted to have O'neil leave

Thierry Henry injured this weekend. If he's out for a bit it makes my decision to stick around to watch TFC v Red Bulls before heading on vacation a bit easier.

All seems a bit bizzare Tony, for him to leave this close to the start of the season when he's had all summer, some thing to do with the whole Milner thing maybe??
RE: The fitba thread! -

It must be to do with Milner, shame, top manager is O'neil.

I honestly don't rate him at all.
Punched above his weight at Leicester.

There is talk that Young is set to join Spurs, so can only see this had been given the green light without his say so.
The Milner deal was too good a deal to turn down especially with a replacement in Ireland set to be part of it. Whether he wasn't going to be given the remainder of it will no doubt come out....
Such a shame as we have improved year on year from where we was when he arrived. Big ask now for whoever comes in, Jol would be my choice, we shall see

Can't see young going to spurs tony..But then again arry likes that cock Bellamy for some reason and wants him but unless arry's planning on playing young on the right we really don't need him as modric and bale both play there not to mention are new signing sandro so the left sides sorted and we've already got lennon, gio and bentley on the right so i dunno.
The milner deal is a good one for villa he ain't worth £25million and steven ireland is better imo so thats a top deal.
As for replacement manager Jol won't go and ajax won't let him!!Top manager though loved him for spurs as did all the fans.
It'll all come out but from what there saying today its down to funds from the milner sale not been made available to him.
Villa were deffo one of them teams challenging to break into the top 4 so although its bad for villa its good for the likes of man city, everton, spurs, liverpool
Bet the scousers are pissed they coulda had o'neil if they'd of waited

Nah, to be fair i think Liverpool will be fine with Hodgson (only time will tell ) but i think he has bought well already and seeing as Liverpool are meant to be so cash strapped that they gotta sell all the top players then i think he has done good business. On our local news they were speculating that O`neil went cos of a breakdown in his relationship with Randy Learner and also the possible sale of Young. Plus Learner wanted to decorate the ground lol.
O`Neil is good but not right

All the spurs fans who were mates knew Jol as the Fat Dutch Clown and absolutely hated him.

No chance! Thank fuck for Woy coming in time, no way would I want O'Neil, who while not a bad manager, has a reputation highly inflated by the UK football press.

Okay not "ALL" spurs fans...But then spurs fans are hard to please. He did a great job in his time at spurs though finishing 5th two seasons in a row before the board/director royally shafted him and treated him like shite bringing alot of shame/embarrassment to spurs over the whole Ramos stuff.
I like O'neil and as far as i can remember he's done well at every club he's gone too, will be a big loss to villa who've been threating that elite top 4-5 since he's been there.
Wanted roy to stay at fulham tbh not cause i hate liverpool just think Fulham deserved to keep him after what he did for them last season,And even as a spurs fan it was great to see the little club do so well in europe and prem.
All in all i can't wait for the new season to start and think it's gonna be closer than ever with all the regular candidates fighting it out..The gap to the top 4 is gone anyones season its gonna be a cracker
Roll on saturday 12.45 Spurs V Man city The rich boys are gonna get a beating
