The colour that Lurk wanted was forest green. I found this colour, but they only had it in transparent and not opaque. As a result, more layers were required to get a flat finish. However, certain areas were picking up more paint than the rest, due to dips and curves in the leather, and after a few coats I noticed that they had taken on this rather "vintage" look about then, like an old leather jacket. I thought it looked really cool (the pics are great but dont do them justice), so rather than going ahead and continuing until they were flat, I gave Mr Lurk the option.
I really like the way they turned out and may well do myself a pair, it's such a nice green.
Anyway, there ya go, questions answered
