Personally, I rock the "Display Shoe Lacing", but different things look good depending on the shoes and laces.

Yea that Ian's shoe lace site is a winner.
I feel ya Zwer, it is hard tangling (literally
) with the lace ends if you don't use the bow. For me, I have found the solution. You know how the laces are when you first get soops? Thats what I do with them after I properly re-lace. Then I gently tuck the laces up under the tongue. That way you aren't walking on the laces and pissed all day
On your ladder lacing, you sorta have the concept, but you if done correctly you shouldn't see any other lacing other than the ladders--difficult to describe how to do, but it's easy when you get it. Ian's does a good job with the explanation.
I took some pics of how I tie my laces:
To me this is quite comfortable--it feels the same as bows, without the look. Also, they are easier to tighten or loosen, and you don't ever have to tie your shoes again. As long as the ball of the not is not between the tongue and your foot it works well.
To get this knot, I just tie the two laces together, and then loop them back and go under the not. Then you can tighten the knot further once you have the loops. The trick is placing the knot. You want it about half way down usually with normal tightness in the laces. If it is too far up, the laces are too loose, but if it is too far down you have too much lace.
Anyway hope this helps
Good luck man.
P.S. I know my socks look like crap, they are my winter socks

Yeah, I wear ankle socks in the summer. Doesn't rub on the skin if you do it right.

I use the "display shoe" lacing on my left shoe and the "straight bar" lacing on my right shoe. And most of the time, since I have adicolors, for example my left shoe will have red laces with black stripes, and the right shoe black laces with red stripes. That way people usually think I have two completely different shoes for a few seconds
